Living my current life circle today in my home town, sometimes gets me to overwhelm. It takes 40 minutes away for me to get to the city now. It started when the pandemic of COVID-19 strike my country and I came back to my parent's house from my grandma’s. All town got lockdown to reducing the physical distancing and limited the public services working hours such as a mall, the bank has the same encouragement as other public facilitation to ask people to put their mask on. For every citizen’s sake and mall employees, the store “onezo” where I work gave me and other employees an adjournment time to not working in a while. It’s sad for someone like me who relies upon my job salary to support my family. Now my mom working harder than she used to.
Anyway, enough with the all financial family trouble cause I’ve been in such a hard time like in uncountable days. So the pandemic right. The uni let us study from home almost 4 months now. It still counting till we don’t know when will it ends. Everyone says this situation is politicized which I have no foggiest idea of what that means. Health issue, the mortality rate keep rising, all doctors in the world working in unusual working hours like days. More than a normal working hour. And undoubtedly citizen in Indonesia are blowing. Everyone getting crazy on the day the new normal is legally announced. Crowded markets, no typical distancing which being recommended by the medical workers almost everywhere.
Don’t want to be seen as someone glad this pandemic situation, but I love the way everybody distancing themselves to each other especially my self. In fact that I find no fun being able to work or have a thing between the crowds. The breaths, the touch, the eye contacts, the vexatious people that I just hate to have in my day. I’m happy to see how the new normal is working for the first time. Feels like this is my new day where I don’t have to deal with my own mood swings of the day.” I’ll be good for the rest of the day “ is my life motto today.
Anyway, from what I know of pandemic treatments to stay at home, make sure to wash our hands constantly and distance ourself on 1-meter minimum with one another. The university where I study, let their student keep continuing the internship program as one of the tasks to fill up their thesis to graduate. This is illogical. So now the virus won’t infect us the internship student?. they should learn some more research on a health issue or at least informing themselves with COVID-19 updates. If that what really makes them a professor.
I’d remember this uni policy issue on unhand us the student to keep running over for internship. Indonesia has reported the death of COVID-19 to be the highest rate of average mortality rate globally. It reported the country average rate is 4,68 per cent considering the global mortality rate is 3,79 per cent. I assured you that the scientist knows better. The government should’ve been cooperating with the scientist by now. Mother, father, children, brother and sister keep losing each other caused by this virus. It wouldn’t be necessary if the children lost their caregiver because of it. This should be stopped. I can’t even close my eyes not thinking about this brutality.
